Before you book
Straight answers.
The things people call and ask. If yours is not here, ring us — we would rather sort it out now than at handover.
- Do I need a boating licence to rent a jet ski in Florida?
- If you were born on or after 1 January 1988, Florida requires a Boating Safety Education ID Card to operate a vessel of 10 HP or more — and every ski in our fleet is well over that. If you were born before that date you do not need one. The FWC runs a temporary certificate programme that most visitors can complete the same day. Call us before you book if you are unsure; it is the single most common question we get and it is far better sorted out beforehand.
- What does a full day on a jet ski actually mean?
- Daylight. Florida law prohibits operating a personal watercraft from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise, so a day runs from when we drop off in the morning until dusk. In practice that is eight to ten hours depending on the month — considerably more water time than the two and three hour blocks most of the area sells.
- How old do I have to be to rent a car?
- Twenty-five, with a valid driver's licence and proof of insurance. There are no exceptions on the exotics, and the deposit is held on the renter's own card.
- Is delivery really included?
- Inside Collier County, yes — that covers Naples, Marco Island and everything between. Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers Beach we quote per trip, and it is usually modest. We would rather bring it to you than have you find us.
- What deposit do you hold?
- A refundable deposit is authorised on the renter's card — a hold, not a charge. Sized to the vehicle, released after return and check-over unless a claim is captured. We tell you the exact figure before you commit. The Request a Booking form never places that hold.
- Can I rent a car and jet skis together?
- Yes — one company, one delivery and one point of contact rather than two. Call for the package rate — it is better than booking the two separately.
- What is your mileage limit?
- Rates include a daily mileage allowance that is comfortable for local driving — Naples to Marco and back, or a day up to Fort Myers, will not trouble it. If you are planning Miami or the Keys, tell us at booking and we will price it properly rather than surprise you afterwards.
- How far in advance should I book?
- December through April is season here and the best vehicles go weeks ahead, particularly over Christmas, the Naples Winter Wine Festival and any holiday weekend. Off-season you can often get something the same week.
- What happens after I submit Request a Booking?
- We confirm the request landed, check what is free for your dates, and reply with availability and next steps. The form does not reserve the car and does not charge a card - any refundable deposit is arranged separately once you agree.
- Is yacht charter booked differently from a car?
- Same phone and same form. Cars and jet skis are day rentals delivered to you; yacht charter is brokered in hourly blocks with a USCG-licensed captain. Tell us which you want and we route it.
- What insurance do I need to rent?
- Renters carry their own cover and bring a valid licence — proof of both at handover. There are no exceptions on the exotics.
- Where in Collier and Lee County do you deliver?
- Hotel, villa, marina or private residence anywhere in Collier and Lee County. Inside Collier County — Naples, Marco Island and everything between — delivery is included. Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers Beach we quote per trip. Fort Myers and Cape Coral are on the delivery list we publish; call and we will confirm the trip.
- What happens after I submit Request a Booking?
- You get a confirmation that the request landed. We check what is actually free for your dates, reply with availability and next steps, then arrange delivery. Nothing is reserved and nothing is charged until we confirm with you.
- Will I be charged when I request a booking online?
- No. The booking form is a request only — no card is taken on that page and no live payment runs when you hit submit. If a refundable deposit is needed later, we tell you the figure and take it separately before handover.
- Do I book cars and yacht charters the same way?
- Same phone and same form. Cars and jet skis are day rentals we deliver to you; yacht charter is brokered in hourly blocks with a USCG-licensed captain aboard. Say which you want in the form and we route it correctly.
- Is a deposit a hold or a charge?
- A hold — an authorisation on the renter's card, not a charge. The money is not taken unless a claim is captured against it. We tell you the figure before you agree, and it is separate from the Request a Booking form.
